James laughed at Lana's question, having made the same mistake himself yesterday. "She doesn't play, she's just in it for the hot guys." he explained to her.
Cael's eyes roamed the Great Hall, trying to see if he was needed to help pass out schedules. Unless he was asked, he wasn't going to get up and do it. He wasn't exactly charitable in the morning.

Yasu decided to taste her concoction, and gave a pleased 'hmm' at the results. At Lana's suggestion, she almost spat it out, however. James had her covered however, quickly dashing Lana's delusions. "Excuse me if I want to be aware of all the wonders of the human race," Yasu replied, smiling as she prepared herself another bite of pancake. "I'm more the written art form type. My athletic skills are not the kind most people are comfortable viewing." With that Yasu finished off her breakfast, a smile on her face.
Further down, a seventh year Ravenclaw prefect spotted three of his housemates. Why yes, it was Somalia, Lana, and Cael. By the looks of it, he was interested in giving them their schedules, and approached with a pile of parchment. "Okay," he started. "Here you go." With that, he handed Somalia and Lana their schedules. He was about to hand Cael his when he paused, furrowing his brow. "Wow. I didn't realize you could do that. Cool. Tell me how it goes," the seventeen-year-old remarked, handing Cael his schedule. There was nothing abnormal about the schedule. At least, not if you glanced at it. But at the bottom in elegant scrawl it read 'Student Teacher Request Accepted - details to be owled at the end of the week'.
At the same time, a Gryffindor prefect came to Yasu with a schedule. She seemed a bit concerned, having not seen Chayne anywhere, but Yasu assured her that she would give the schedule to the silent girl.

"Score!" Lana and Somalia high fived, "Divination, Care of Magical Creaturs, and Charms with the Gryffindors!" "And I've got Ancient Runes in the afternoons while Somalia has Potions." Lana continued reading. "Darn, we've got Transfiguration with the Hufflepuffs, and Defense Against the Dark Arts and Herbology with the Slytherins." Somalia didn't like having classes with the Hufflepuffs, they were boring, and the Slytherins weren't much fun either.

Cael frowned down at his schedule. James glanced over at him. "What's up?" he asked. Cael gestured to his schedule.
"It says "Student Teacher Request Accepted"--I didn't request to be a student teacher. I didn't even know you could do that!" he said. James frowned.
"Maybe there's been a mistake?" he suggested. Cael shrugged.
"I don't know. Wonder who I'm supposed to be student teaching for..."

Yasu beamed as she checked her schedule just to make sure. "Awesome! One of you wouldn't happen to be good at Divination, would you? I don't get all the fancy mumbo jumbo," Yasu explained. She glanced down to see if she had Defense Against the Dark Arts with Slytherin. Aha! She was saved! She had it with Hufflepuff. But she did have Potions and Transfiguration with the Slytherins. She wasn't so bad at those, though. It really was just Defense Against the Dark Arts that she struggled with. Hopefully Chayne would be her tutor again.
Speak of the half-demon, Chayne had shown up once again, though she now lacked the package from before. It was at the same time that Cael made his outburst about student teaching, so Yasu forgot to give Chayne's schedule to her. Luckily, the silver-haired girl saw her name and plucked it from the more social girl's hands to scan over.
"Are you serious? Maybe a teacher requested you because you did so well on their O.W.L.'s. What did you do absolutely awesome at? Besides everything?" Yasu asked, teasing about his intelligence because, well, he was a Ravenclaw.
(ooc: Kelly, work with me on this one and have Gryffindors have Divination class with Slytherin. (the sixth years))

James laughed at Yasu's question. "You don't have to be good at it--I've been making crap up the last three years and I've been passing." he said confidentially. Cael rolled his eyes at him. James glanced down at his own schedule. He made a face. Divination, History of Magic and Defense Against the Dark Arts with the Slytherins? That wasn't likely to go well. He personally didn't have a grudge against the Slytherins, but he couldn't say the same for some of the other members of his house. He continued reading. Charms, Care of Magical Creatures, and Transfiguration with the Ravenclaws--awesome. And lastly, Herbology, Potions, and Astronomy with the Hufflepuffs.
James smiled to himself, glad that he'd somehow managed to pass all of his OWLs. He'd barely scraped by on Astronomy, and History of Magic. He probably owed it to Cael, who'd helped him study on top of doing his own reviewing. -- Cael looked at the rest of his schedule. Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Ancient Runes, and Transfiguration with the Gryffindors. Excellent, those were some of his favorite classes; made all the better if shared with some of his favorite people. He continued scanning: Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination, History of Magic, and Arithmancy with the Hufflepuffs; and Astronomy, Herbology, and Potions with the Slytherins. Not bad.
He looked up as Yasu teased him. He rolled his eyes. "I didn't get straight O's, if that's what you're implying." he replied. James laughed.
"You almost did, though. What did you get, two E's?" Cael huffed.
"One E, and two As. I've told you, I'm absolute rubbish at Herbology and Potions." It was James's turn to roll his eyes.
"You realize your definition of 'rubbish' is an 'Acceptable', right?" he teased. Cael ignored him, trying to figure out who would possibly ask for him as a Student Teacher. If he had any luck, it would be Charms or Care of Magical Creatures, his two favorite subjects. As long as it wasn't History of Magic, it probably couldn't be too horrible, could it?

Both the Ravenclaw girls got up from the table, "Yeah, Yasu, I'm pretty good at divination." Lana said, even though she didn't know if the question was directed at her or not. It was time for the first class of the day and Lana always was paranoid and wanted to be twenty minutes early and she dragged Somalia along with her. "Ugh," Somalia groaned, "I don't want to climb the divination tower, not this early in the morning." "It'll be good for you, get you in shape for quidditch tryouts on Saturday.' "OOh, I forgot about quidditch tryouts, I've been practicing all summer and I can't wait to show off my moves, I'm totally ready to beat some people!" Lana glanced at the table again, (italics) oh yeah, we haven't gone anywhere yet (end italics) "We should probably get going now if we want to get to class on time, see you all later, have fun." Somalia waved emphatically.

Cael and James watched the two girls leave. "Bye," Cael said, waving his hand. He picked up his cup of tea and took a long, fortifying sip.
"Seeya," James said as well. He looked at over at Yasu. "So, what time is it? Should we being going too, or..?"
"Not until I have at least one more cup of tea." Cael said decisively. James chuckled.
"You have a tea problem." he teased.

"You don't wanna skip your first day classes? Where is your sense of adventure?" she asked teasingly, standing and grabbing her currently (practically) empty messenger bag, knowing that by the end of the day it would be bursting with textbooks and agendas for the year. "I'm heading out. I've got Divination with the Ravenclaws and the new teacher to look forward to."
Chayne did not leave instantly like her Gryffindor counterpart, instead standing slowly and staring at James for around five seconds before slowly making her way out of the Great Hall.
it seemed her potential future Quidditch captain was a nice guy who could put up with Chayne's best friend. He also wasn't afraid of jokes or affection. She could sense the beginnings of a good friendship. Now it was just time to figure out the rest of him. She was intrigued, after all, and once that happened nothing would get in her way.
