Yasu is a mixture of German, French, Irish, and English. Despite this, she has a Japanese name. The reason is all thanks to her muggle mother, one of the first successful American manga-kas. She was obsessed with Asian cultures, delved deep into the world of manga and anime, and hence named her only child Yasu. Even her life was like a manga, as she discovered in high school the mysterious magical world, fell in love with a wizard, and then had his baby before they were even married the moment she graduated. Of course, they married later when Yasu was 3, and by then she had already been fully introduced to several anime cons. She inspired the little sister character in her mother's first manga.

By age 7 Yasu had discovered that she had earned her father's magical abilities after she tried to sneak a cookie and the glass jar dropped onto the floor, shattering. She was distraught, but the jar magically put itself together again just as her mom ran in to investigate.

Yasu's life is fairly average. She's on the richer side of life because of her father's job as a healer and her mother's popularity as a manga-ka. However, Yasu has faced many challenges. People who disapproved of her parents' marriage and of Yasu having been born out of wedlock. Yasu if often to blame for why her father never went off to become a more famous doctor in the UK, instead settling for a small practice in America. Yasu has dealt with people who are jealous, and at one point she thought her mother was going to die from a car crash at age 9 until her father saved her.

At age 11 she had received her invitation to Hogwarts. Normally they didn't send invites to witches and wizards outside of the UK and nearby surrounding areas, but Devin had not liked the American schools and had sent a message in advance to the school to request that they consider his daughter. She went and was sorted into Gryffindor, quickly befriending all her housemates. The one that intrigued her the most, however, was Chayne, who she slowly had to take time to become friends with. It wasn't until the end of her second year that they did become friends, and now Yasu considers them to be best friends.

In her 4th year, Yasu met Chaz, a Ravenclaw computer genius, who she has had a crush on ever since. Of course, since her third year Yasu has been dating, trying to figure out what she wants in a guy. She's tried never to create any drama with an ex, and if she broke up with one because he's a jerk, she doesn't make a big deal about it or simply jokes about it with friends. Even though Yasu currently likes Chaz, she worries the flame is dying out.

Now that she's in her 5th year, her parents agreed that she could get a pet. She quickly bought a white rat with gold eyes that she quickly named Hichigo after an anime and manga that she follows avidly, Bleach.

Yasu has an internship at her father's small practice, helping to clean sheets and send food to patients and the like.

Personality:

Yasu is often viewed as the coolest older sister you never had, or the considerate 'mother figure' you've been lacking in your life. She's very mature for her age, always willing to listen to everyone's side of the story. She can patiently sit and wait, tolerating insults and whatever comes her way. Yasu is very clever and a romantic, manipulating encounters and words to pair people up and see things go her way. She's rarely gotten bad results, which is why she is often willing to sit and wait with a soft smile on her face as people bicker and freak out. Yasu is always willing to give a kind word, a reassuring pep talk (she's very enthusiastic about pep talks), or a hug. She's actually fairly wise for her age and very insightful. She hardly ever loses her cool, so beware when she does. She wasn't put in Gryffindor for nothing. She's not afraid of saying whatever she wants, and more than harsh yet honest words will come when she's enraged.

Despite this, she's not as good at Defense Against the Dark Arts as she is at Herbology, Charms, and Potions. She likes peace and love more than she does war and fighting. She's also not skilled at fighting in general. But she did take self defense classes. No one will be laying a hand on her if she doesn't want you to. Still, Yasu is a very touchy-feely person, full of emotions and physical contact. She's highly affectionate, puts her heart and soul into everything, and is passionate about many things. She wants to grow up to be a healer and have a couple kids, maybe explore the world. At least, that's the plan for now, but Yasu feels her dream career may be changing. She's adventurous, but she's not in it for the adventure or the glory. Yasu just wants the discovery.

Yasu loves manga and anime, is a romantic, and enjoys romance movies and every sort of candy you can imagine. She's sweet by nature and tries to be kind to everyone. Nothing seems to phase her, and she's not afraid to cry when she's hurt. But she's also willing to be the shoulder you cry on as well.

Despite how calm she is, Yasu can be a little overemotional and overreact, but mostly only to positive things. She's also highly disorganized, and easily bored with books that don't have romance in them. Yasu has a good sense of humor, though she doesn't use sarcasm often unless when trying to pound a lesson into someone's thick skull. She also happens to have a dirty mind.

Yasu loves to read and write, having a very critical editor's eye, and she also is a good cook and seamstress without magic. She's not so bad at singing. There's no vibrato or impressive volume, but she can get notes in tune.

Description:

Yasu is five feet and one inch. She's full of curves and, to put it bluntly, was blessed by mother nature when it came to her boobs. She's got a light tan from spending a lot of time outside, but her hands sport very fine nails that she works hard to keep nice. She's always smiling with almost perfect teeth. Yasu's hair is a golden blonde and falls in very soft waves down to her shoulders. Her eyes are a bright hazel full of flecks of green and gold and framed by very thick lashes. She doesn't normally wear make-up, but she's very good at applying it, as well as doing her hair. Normally she just sticks to lip gloss.

Whenever Yasu isn't put into her Gryffindor uniform for Hogwarts, she is found in light and happy clothes, often stylish and full of fun. She's not afraid of sundresses, but is just as happy with a pair of light wash jeans with holes in the knees. If there's a shirt with a wide expanse of blankness, Yasu has likely filled it in with paint markers and sharpie, drawing flowers and writing catchphrases and attempting to draw people that become lazy stick people making very cheesy jokes.
