Chayne was the third child of Meredith Akaiyre, a specialist on magical disturbances for the Ministry. However, she was not the third child of Liam, Meredith's husband. Liam was a mechanic who fixed magical mechanical objects such as the Hogwarts express, amongst other magical modes of transportation. No, Chayne's father was a demon named Thanos who was overcome with too much dark magic and energy. He needed a way to balance the dark energy with purer magical energy. This meant he had to approach a witch who had not committed a large sin. Meredith Akaiyre fit this description, and had met Thanos before on many occasions when researching the other magical humanoids that could potentially interact with the world of witches and wizards. If Thanos didn't get rid of the excess energy, he would die and the dark energy would consume whatever area he died in. Liam agreed to this one time thing as long as Thanos never appeared again before Meredith while Liam lived. With that agreement, Chayne was born on accident (Liam would curse his demon friend for refusing certain muggle inventions like condoms, and Meredith's nurse got an earful of shouting when Meredith found out the contraceptive charm she had used didn't work), doomed to not meet her father (at least not with her mother present) for many years.

Despite her odd parents, Chayne started out as a fairly normal witch. At age five she revealed she would likely be attending Hogwarts when her older brother Kevin tried to grab her prized pumpkin muffin and out of concern for the life of her muffin, Chayne shoved Kevin into a wall without lifting a finger.

From then on life was as normal as it could be for a magical family. Chayne became an older sister at age two. At age seven it was clear that Chayne held a close relationship with her brother Archer, but the very next year he went off to get a job in America once graduating from Hogwarts. This devastated her parents, and Chayne wondered how the brother she was closest to could now be so far away. She ran off into the woods and cried, giving off a dark energy that scared away the animals. Her real father, Thanos, appeared to explain that she was actually part demon. While Chayne found this intriguing, she was still distraught over the fact that her brother was gone across the world, and that she'd been lied to about who her real father was. Thanos assured her that when she was older he'd explain so she could understand, but for now he had to secretly be her father. He also explained that becoming too emotional could cause her to lose control of the demon energy. From then on, she became emotionless... more so than usual, anyway.

Luckily she still had Kevin and his friends to amuse herself with, as they liked to try and get her to show emotion when she started going to Hogwarts at age 11, having been sorted into Gryffindor without a second thought from the sorting hat. The goal was to make her blush, or cry, or laugh, or at least twitch when they appeared. Chayne had an odd way of making friends, and that was one method. By being so emotionless she intrigued her brother's friends, and some only stayed friends with Kevin because his sister was such an oddball. She also befriended people like Charlemagne (Chaz), and Yasu, as well as Isaac in her third year. When she was 12, Kevin ran away, and Chayne became angry with him. She swore that if she saw him again she would turn him into something pitiful to match his cowardice.

It was also then that Chayne's mother discovered she was pregnant yet again with an unplanned fifth child. Liam was ecstatic, but died in a magical explosion during work before the child, Alice, was born. It was unfortunate, because Liam had always dreamed of a blonde, blue-eyed child to match his favorite book character, Alice from Alice in Wonderland. That was what Alice looked like when she was born after Chayne turned 13. Chayne swore to protect her because of this, more so than she already wished to protect her other little sister, despite Ariana's obsession with turning Chayne into a doll to test make-up and fashion on.

Now she is 15, returning for another year at Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardy.

Personality:

Chayne is quiet, practically silent at all times. She has no concept of personal space, at least not for other people, not that she's bothered when people invade her own space. Chayne may not talk, as she has trouble communicating words, but she is rather good at portraying what she's thinking or feeling through actions when she feels like it. It's very easy for her to act as if she doesn't care about anything, and she often comes off as emotionless, but in reality Chayne is a very passionate person in a very quiet and subtle way. She's forward in all that she does. If she wants something, she doesn't hesitate to grab it, if someone annoys her she doesn't pause before hitting them, and if she's bored she'll walk away without a second thought and pursue other things. Chayne has a short attention span and is easily distracted, but once something captures her attention it can keep her attention for months in more extreme cases.

Chayne is a sneaky person in a weird way. She's not embarrassed, and will openly stare at or follow people that she finds intriguing or is suspicious of. She's open about this habit, and yet at the same time secretive, as she's so quiet and good at hiding that no one realizes what she's doing. She's not a very touchy person, nor does she seem like the joking or sarcastic type, but Chayne has her own blunt and brutally honest sense of humor. She's a quick thinker, very athletic and flexible, and determined. Nothing seems to phase her, and she is very patient and easy-going most of the time.

Chayne has a sweet tooth and loves cute things. She appreciates pale colors, loves being with smaller children, and is very protective of all her siblings. She doesn't get romance very much, and she ignores all perverted jokes. She often falls asleep in class, as its hard for her to sleep at night due to her naturally nocturnal mind set, and so she doesn't do well in most of her classes except for Defense Against the Dark Arts. She doesn't eat much either. She lacks much fashion sense, instead settling for ripped up, loose pants and an oversized t-shirt whenever possible. She has little patience for books, and she's a person who can create an organized mess.

Description:

Chayne stands at five feet and three inches, and lacks any womanly curves. When it came to boobs, she didn't get much, and if it weren't for her slightly slimmer waist and her overall slim and lean appearance, people might mistake her for a ten-year-old boy. She's very thin, though people have often tried to get her to gain weight. She's pale in skin color, and has bright white hair (courtesy of her demon father) that falls in a choppy and layered mass down to her shoulder blades with messy bangs that always fall in her eyes. Her eyes are wide and a pale blue-gray color and not framed by many lashes.

Chayne's light skin is colored in several scars from many adventures that she has gone on. Her nails are always cut as close as possible, and her features are never covered in make-up, nor does she ever wear nail polish. Chayne's known for wearing mismatched socks in pure white high-top converse that have slowly been covered in sharpie doodles that Chayne herself created. Whenever she's not in her Hogwarts wardrobe, Chayne settles for very simple outfits, often khakis or ripped up jeans and then whatever over-sized t-shirt she can locate. Jewelry is rare, and often only ever appears in the form of a rare silver chain or a bracer on her wrist on a rare occasion. Whenever her outfits seem slightly more stylish, everyone knows its probably a shirt or set of pants given to her by her younger sister Eliza. There is one shirt Chayne seems to favor that actually clings to her slim figure. The shirt is a black, close-cut tee with a v-shaped neckline. A hood is attached to the back, and in bold white letters on the front it says 'iSPEAK'. The shirt was a present from Kevin for Christmas when Chayne was 11. Back then, it almost fit like a glove, clinging to her lack of curves perfectly. At age 15, it's the same, oddly enough.
