Name: Somalia Melissa Jane, her real last name is Sonnings but since she's and orphan she decided to take her best friends last name. She still appears as Somalia Melissa Sonnings on official documents, like school papers and teacher rosters.
Nickname: People who don't know her might start calling her Molly but they soon stop after the looks she throws at them. She has no real nickname.

History: Somalia has never seemed to have any parents. In fact, she has no known relatives. She has been able to piece together a "Family Tree" from pictures and documents she has found but she has not actually met any of her relatives and doesn't know if any of them are still alive. She lives in a small castle a small ways away from a town, in the country of Scotland. No one from the town comes to visit her or even knows her. She lives with three other friends. Their names are Agloranna, Silya and Aspen. Each one of them (including Somalia) has a rudimentary understanding of magic. Currently they can each control one element. Somalia can control water, but doesn't know about any other magic. She was very surprised when she received a letter to Hogwarts because she had never heard of it before but after reading the letter was very excited to get school supplies and jump on the train to Hogwarts. All of her other friends received letters inviting them to Hogwarts as well but only Lana is coming. (Aspen doesn't like formal schooling because he is too abstract and Silya is too rambunctious for school.) Somalia and Lana are best friends and have grown up together. For a long time they were the only two living in the castle and it wasn't until recently that they found Aspen and Silya. Somalia and Lana do everything together. They go swimming, read books, play games. They are really excited because they get to spend the whole seven years at Hogwarts together in the magical world. She would love to play Quidditch because she wants to know what it would be like to fly. She has loved school so far and can't wait to start a new year at Hogwarts. She loves being taught by actual people, not just learning by exploring. She's already learned all she can from exploring where she lives. She loves that at Hogwarts there is a lot of open space and she can see a lake and a forest from her bedroom window. She goes swimming every afternoon in the Black Lake and has made very good friends with the giant squid. Speaking of friends, she also loves meeting new people since she didn't have that opportunity living back home. She has met so many new people and all of them are so friendly. She has never had so many friends before! She used to only know four people and now she knows so many more, she loves the feeling of friendship. Last year, the Captain of the Quidditch team graduated. Somalia was picked to be the new captain. She's still the chaser and has done a superb job in that position. She is quicker than all of her teammates and can outmaneuver any of the opposing team. Occasionally she is even had the time to run circles around her opponents before going for the quaffle. Somalia is really excited to be quidditch captain.
Personality: She is almost always hyper and bouncy. The only times when she isn't is when the situation calls for extreme seriousness. She is very outgoing and willing to be friends with almost anyone. She greets everyone she sees no matter if she knows them or not and will start a conversation with anyone. Since coming to Hogwarts she has become even more hyper and excited, if that's possible. She is so excited to meet some friends since she has only really known four people in her life. She is a Ravenclaw because she likes attempting to figure things out based on previous knowledge, she doesn't really like extra research, especially if she can figure out a sufficient answer without it. She doesn't always get things on the first go around and sometimes needs help from Lana, but she always gets it in the end and usually fairly quickly. She isn't very competitive but can be amazingly spirited. She sometimes likes reading old books but only if it's over Lana's shoulder while hanging out with her, Somalia would rarely pick up an old book on her own. She likes reading newer novels. She likes to keep homework minimal because she wants more time to run around randomly on the school grounds playing tag with Lana. She also swims in the lake daily, mostly while Lana is doing homework and after she finishes homework they play tag. She mostly hangs out with Lana because they are best friends and have known each other for as long as they can remember. She sometimes thinks that tests are fun but only afterwards, she is never looking forward to a test because she thinks it will be fun. Most of all though, she's just so excited!
Description: Somalia is of average height. She has dark brown hair with bright blue steaks in it, one on each side. She never does anything with it, she always just lets it hang down by itself. Her eyes are dark blue with a ring of even darker blue around her pupils. She used to always wear her dark blue dress that was the same color as the outside of her eyes with a darker blue cloak that was the same color as the inside of her eyes. They were both shiny/reflective and looked very nice out in the sunlight. She would also wear bright blue sandals the color of her hair, with dark blue streaks on them. Since coming to Hogwarts she had been told she can't wear those all the time to classes so she wears a bright blue polo shirt or sweater with a darker blue skirt. She also sometimes wears a light purple shirt with a darker purple skirt or a light blue shirt with a purple skirt. She still wears the sandals though. She's lucky to be in Ravenclaw because nobody really minds that she isn't wearing the school uniform. Actually, they mind that she never wears the uniform but they know she won't wear it no matter how hard they try so they just settle for what she's got on. Since her favorite colors are blue and purple she's always wearing her house colors. In the winter she has purple snow boots and royal blue tights and when it is really cold she has a dark blue wool coat and scarf and a purple ski cap.

Position: Chaser position - captain

Experience: Playing for the house team since second year.
RP Example: Somalia zigzagged through all the players on the field, friend and foe alike. She kept her eyes on her teammate who had the quaffle and was shooting down the field parallel to Somalia. Suddenly an opposing member threatened her progress and she had to toss the ball to Somalia. She caught the quaffle deftly and zoomed the rest of the way down the field. Ding! another ten points for Ravenclaw.
"Yes!" Somalia threw her arms into the air in celebration. The game started again and the other team promptly seized the quaffle, not wanting to be shown up by Somalia. She raced to Ravenclaw's goals and caught the ball before the keeper even moved. Nobody caught up to Somalia on her flight to the opposing team's rings. Ding! Ravenclaw was now ahead by fifty points. The quaffle was back in play but no one had a chance to do much before Lana caught the snitch and ended the match.
"Way to go Lana!" Somalia was the first person over to congratulate her, "You're all pink again." Lana glared at her for a second and then smiled and rolled her eyes.
"You think I don't already what shade of pink I've turned." Lana replied. She said her thanks to the team's congratulations and then flew to the ground to dismount.
Somalia led the team to the ground after Lana and dismounted. "Good match guys! Now let's go celebrate in the common room." She started to lead her team back to the locker rooms and then paused. She watched everyone else file past her and then stepped in line next to Lana, who always walked last.
