General Rules:
1. Watch your tongue. These cuss words are allowed: shit and damn. Keep it classy folks. All other cusswords will be modified.
2. Everyone is accepted here. Insulting someone's views, religion, skin color, gender, etc. is unacceptable and you will be temporarily banned form this site. If its a character in the roleplay, keep it classy.
3. No pornography. That's an immediate ban from the site.
4. One account per person.
5. PG-13! We realize that cuss words exist, and that drugs and sex do as well. However, graphic drug/alcohol scenes and any actual sex scenes can only be suggested and not actually written out.
6. Only write/speak in English. Look out for spelling and grammar, with the exceptions of character accents.
7. No trolling anywhere on this site and no advertising anywhere but the advertising board.
8. We do not threaten other people here.
9. Signatures should NOT stretch the board. Nothing should. So, all your banners/pictures/stamps put together cannot exceed 500x500.
Character Rules:
1. Don't be afraid of details. When creating your bio, go for a long, detailed one. That way, we won't have to keep asking you to add things to it.
2. No Mary-Sues. What's that? A perfect, cliche person. Not everyone can have a tortured past, be really intelligent, beautiful, popular, and talented in everything. No one is. Keep your person balanced. Tortured pasts are fine, but there are people with regular lives too.
3. Where is your bio? Once your character's bio is accepted, you must post a link to the bio in your signature.
4. Properly label your bio. All biographies should be titled with the character's first and last name. If it takes more than one sitting for you to finish your character, than post it with the words (in progress), in the title of your character's bio thread. Change the words to (complete) once you're done.
5. No more than 5 characters please!
RolePlaying Rules:
1. Roleplay in third person.
Example 1 (correct): She ran down the street. A sudden noise around the corner had startled her.
Example 2 (incorrect): I ran down the street. A sudden noise around the corner had startled me.
2. Correctly format multi-character posts. If you are roleplaying with two or more characters, assign each character a certain color and write whatever each character says in their color.
3. Correctly format out of character posts. If you have a comment that you want to post on the rp, format it like this: (ooc: what you are saying). OOC stands for Out Of Character.
4. Stick to your character's bio. They cannot act the opposite of what you put in their bio.
5. You cannot control other people's characters. NPCs not directly related to other people's characters are free game however.
6. Who's roleplaying in your thread? When naming a roleplaying thread, always put in parentheses at the end who you would like to participate in the thread.
Ex: THREAD NAME (username1, username2)
Display names count as usernames in this case. If, however, you don't care who joins, you can put this.
Ex1: THREAD NAME (open)
Open threads can have from two to six users, but as many characters as each user would like to incorporate. Only admins can override this user limit for event-threads.
7. All roleplaying posts must be 100 words long minimum.
8. You are allowed to make threads where only your characters interact. You may be wondering why you would want to do this, but if it helps you establish an important event for your character, go ahead and put in the thread title [just CHARACTER NAME].[/blockquote][/size]
